Matching Gifts

What is a matching gift program?

Many employers offer this program in which they match a certain percentage of charitable donation their employees have made to a non-profit organization. For example, You are an employee of company XYZ and your employer offers 100% matching gift program. You inform your company about the $100 donation you have made to a non-profit organization of your choice. Your company will then match $100 with a total of $200 for the non-profit organization. This is a great way to increase and sometimes double your donation to NCEF by taking few simple steps.

Steps to take by the employee:

• Find out if your company offers matching gift program.
• Find forms you need to fill out with your company human resources department to participate in the program. Most companies have a simple online form that can be completed in minutes.
• Notify NCEF that your gift will be matched. Your company will contact NCEF on its own to match the gift.

How you can help as a volunteer of NCEF?

Talk to people who are interested in making donation to NCEF and ask them if their employers offer matching gift program. Explain to them about the program if they are not aware of it. Ask them to take few simple steps to increase their impact with the same amount of donation. We are happy to answer any additional questions or comments that you have about the program.
