One hundred and thirty two students to receive NCEF financial assistance during 2024-2025

We are thrilled to announce that NCEF has chosen 132 students to receive financial support for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.

Mission and Selection Process

At the heart of NCEF's mission is the commitment to ensuring that students facing financial difficulties receive the necessary assistance to cover their school-related expenses. The meticulous process of student selection draws on over 18 years of experience operating in Nepal, consistently identifying and supporting students through this program each year.

This year, our dedicated volunteers reviewed 95 new applications and 103 renewal applications, carefully evaluating the pertinent information about each applicant. The selection committee comprised four dedicated members: Bhusan Neupane, Gyan Neupane, Maheshwor Kafle, and Santosh KC. Working collaboratively, these volunteers ensured the fairness and timely completion of the student selection process.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

To be eligible for financial assistance from NCEF, students are required to meet minimum academic standards and demonstrate financial need. These criteria are clearly outlined and publicly available on the NCEF website. This year, we piloted the usage of digital applications in two areas, using an online portal to complete applications instead of paper forms.

Results

We conducted interviews with 95 new applicants and successfully selected six in Nepalgunj, five in Sankhuwasabha, four in Sunsari, six in Nawalparasi, four in Lamjung, and four in Dang. Additionally, the committee thoroughly reviewed renewal applications for 103 existing recipients in Sunsari, Nepalgunj, Sankhuwasabha, Nawalparasi, Gorkha, Lamjung, and Dang. We are delighted to announce that all our students, both new and renewing, have progressed to the next grade.

Acknowledgments

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to the donors whose contributions make this impactful work possible. The organization shares in the excitement felt by the students and is eager to facilitate and support this cohort as they continue their academic journey.
